PATIENT-SCIENTISTS
We are currently offering two opportunities for patient-scientists:

The Gensemer hypermobile Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome Intern Program (HIP) is a 10-week summer internship on the campus of the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC). HIP is meant for students (either college or graduate students) who have EDS or HSD to work on their own disease. Applications for HIP 2024 will open in late 2023.

The Norris lab Visiting Scholars Program provides short-term shadowing opportunities for individuals who have the intention of continuing their education, working in the space of EDS healthcare, advocacy or research and have a strong personal connection to the disease. Through this program, we can cover travel and housing for eligible participants. Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis for this program as slots become available.
