Welcome Back Roman!

The Norris Lab

Updated: Mar 19

Roman is a HIP 2021 intern and an MD/PhD student from Glen Allen, Virginia. He graduated with a B.S. from Davidson College in 2022, double-majoring in Biology and Music. He then spent a gap year at the Duke Human Vaccine Institute, studying B cell immunology and the generation of protective antibody responses in neonatal SHIV. His research in the Norris Lab aims to determine the immune-derived mechanisms of hEDS. He was an HIP intern during the summer of 2021 and is grateful to continue contributing to EDS knowledge. Roman is involved in various patient advocacy programs, including the Alliance for Disability Advocacy at MUSC. We're delighted to welcome him back to the lab as he continues his contributions to mast cell research!
